The geologic configuration of the Rimini hills and its climate make Coriano a perfect area for the production of high quality wines.

In 1401 Pope Boniface IX in a Papal Bull conferred on the Bishop Bartolomeo Barbati the jurisdiction of the Church of Rimini and quotes an “Ecclesian Sancti in Pasciano”, a small community present on this territory inhabited mainly by small landowners and farmers who dedicate their efforts to the cultivation of olives, wine grapes and cornfields.

From the early 1900s Beniamino Bianchi, having just purchased the first estate, planted not only typical Romagnoli single row vines which separated the vast fields destined for various types of produce, but also the first vineyard with rows very close to each other for the times, in order to obtain more grapes for commercial sale and for home consumption, which was common in that period.

Today the Bianchi estate extends through the Passano area, called Pasciano in ancient times, a small district just outside Coriano town, a hilly zone about 102 mt above sea level facing south east on the Adriatic sea.

Only some areas of the estate are occupied by vineyards: the rest of  the land has, like in olden times olive groves and cornfields.
The estate today covers an area of about 22 hectares of which 9 are set aside for production of high quality wines. The main clones currently planted are: Small berry Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Lambrusco, Trebbiano Romagnolo, Biancame.

Our family personally oversees the vineyards and the wine cellars and follow every step of the process from the planting to the wine making.
Even the bottling of the wines is carried out on our estate with our own modern equipment.
